Overall, I have really enjoyed my time at Rockcastle County. It has been a pleasure being a Rocket. The school spirit that we have is undeniable. Going to a football game, and hearing the kids will send a shiver down your spine. The teachers are amazing, and understanding. The worst part about the school is the attitude of some of the students. Because of this, it made my last few years of highschool slightly unenjoyable. I would like to see more people being positive at school. Other than that, Rockcastle has been a great place to grow up.

It has been a wonderful experience making friends and some role models have shaped the way I think for the better, physically and mentally. But some of the teachers seem like there only there for the pay check and the mostly invest into sports like basketball and football.

There are many things that my school does great like having a feminine hygiene center that young girls can go to and take supplies that they need and have teachers that care about the students. My school isn't perfect, which none is, but the faculty try their very best to make sure their students succeed.

To start, I've always felt at home in Rockcastle County and was so excited to finally reach high school. The teachers are more than welcome to help anyone in their educational goals and are interested in advancing a student's potential. I know from my experience that our teachers like to have an enjoyable time and do many class activities, like math contests and making restaurant tier lists. The school hosts various contests as well, like an olympics style event every fall and "grade battle", where the four grades send representatives for various competitions every spring.
For change, I'd assume all schools are like this, but I would like to see students have more of a desire to learn and apply what they learn. I know that here we have some rowdy students that just disrupt class for the fun of it. Teachers send them out, but it's easy to tell that those students never really mature in their lifestyle.
In conclusion, I love Rockcastle and I'm sure you will too!

Rockcastle county high school can be a great school at time but other times it can differ overall I would say that it’s a good school but there is cons just like everywhere else.

My experience with high school in Rockcastle county Kentucky is ok for the most part although I would like them to reach out more and help students more. I have ask numerous times about help with college stuff and I never get anything in return. I would also like for them to do more with the students the most they do is football games or basketball games. The school and the staff are very nice and the teachers usually support their students but some of the teachers and staff want nothing to do with them and are very rude.I would love to see a change in all of these things I feel as though they could be a really good school and if the just fixed a few things they could make it such a better and successful school.

Rockcastle County High School has truly helped me develop as a young man and leader in my community. I participated in my school’s FFA and JROTC organizations and made incredible friends that will last throughout my life. I enjoy the teachers I had and the work they put in to ensure a good education for their students. The best parts of the high school are how involved the clubs are. In addition to that, the worst parts of my experience was during freshman year when I had to search for the right clubs and friends to join. I was a little lonely at these times, but after finding FFA and JROTC, I made quality friends and truly enjoyed coming to school. If I could see one thing change about my high school, it would have to be with the amount of students actually willing to work. I imagine very high school deals with this, but some kids are just trouble makers, and I’d like to see students have a desire to learn instead of a desire to stir people up.

Rockcastle is just like any small town high school. It's a simple place with very few advanced classes to offer. Although the school has severe bullying issues that still need to be handled, there is effort being put in to better student's mental health.

Since I have been enrolled in RCHS, I have had a great experience. I have learned a great deal and my future has never looked better. The only thing I would change is that I wish other students would take their work more seriously.

My experience with Rockcastle High school has been pretty average, they have some good teachers and they have a good amount of administration. One of their drawbacks in their food, their hotdogs are pink in some places and discolored in others. Their sides like corn or green beans get mixed together and it makes it nasty whenever they are handing it out. The lunch lady’s are extremely kind though.

Rockcastle County High School is located in a small, rural county located in southeastern Kentucky. Although this high school is in a small community, it offers a variety of extracurricular activities and academic programs. There are a variety of sports to be involved in beyond the typical basketball, football, and baseball. Rockcastle County High School is an outstanding school, where each and every student is pushed to be the best they can be. Our teachers and staff go above and beyond to show love to every student. My school has been here for me through the great times and most importantly the bad times. My school is my second home, my teachers are my second family. I can’t imagine attending any other school. I know without a doubt, if I need something they will do everything they can to ensure my needs are met! I am forever thankful for my school, Rockcastle County High School!

Rockcastle was a great school to be in. Although we lack in diversity and opportunities due to our position in Eastern Kentucky, we make up for it in school spirit, hard work, and wonderful staff.
